SUMMARY
Two best friends face the hardest future of all - a future without each other. In the tradition of 'The Fault in Our Stars', critically acclaimed author Melissa Kantor masterfully captures the joy of friendship and the agony of loss. Zoe and Olivia have always been best friends. And becoming professional ballerinas has always been their goal. But when they turn sixteen the unthinkable happens as Olivia is diagnosed with leukaemia. Falling in love, coping with school and falling out with each other - everything is thrown into a whole new light. A heartbreakingly bittersweet tragedy that reveals profound truths about loss, love and the friends who mean the world to you.

REVIEW
This is one of the most beautiful and emotional books I have ever read. Zoe and Olivia are both amazing characters; they are believable, relatable, they talk and act like 16year olds and despite the tragic situation that befalls them, they always manage to overcome everything and keep their spirits up and their friendship alive.

This novel will always draw comparisons to Fault In Our Stars by John Green given the similar subject matter, but having read both, I can honestly say that this is much better written, much more likeable and to me, much more heart-wrenching as whilst I couldn't relate to meeting an idol whilst being as sick as Hazel, I could completely imagine how awful it would be to be Zoe, and to have to face losing her best friend at such a young age.

Both characters were brave in very different ways, and I really liked how clear it made it that someone dying doesn't just affect direct family, it has a ripple effect, and someone like Olivia will have touched so many lives.

I can't wait for this book to be published so I can recommend it to my customers, I've read almost 30 books since Jan, and this is most definitely one of my favourites and is definitely a book I will read again - it's one of those beautifully sad books that you want to re-read, much like P.S I Love You.

- Gem.
